Laser Safety and Training for Non-Members:
Get trained on how to safely and effectively use our laser cutters! This laser safety and training session is open to non-members who want to learn how to use our equipment. During this session, you'll receive personalized instruction from one of our volunteers, learn how to operate our laser cutters, and learn about safety requirements. By the end of this training, you'll be qualified to use the laser cutting equipment during our open hours. Don't miss this opportunity to learn a new skill and unleash your creativity!
This fee covers:
- A training session including practical demonstration and guided operation. By the end of this session you'll have the knowledge required to pass our operation assessment.
- Up to two assessment sessions (cannot occur on the same day as the training session or another assessment). The assessment will cover your ability to operate the machine safely and competently as well as ensure you have a working knowledge of our emergency procedures.
- A Day Pass to use the workshop for the day (Required for the training session) - $20, payable on the day
