Do you want to learn how to solder? Or looking to improve your skills?This workshop will teach you a wide variety of practical soldering skills that you can use to build your projects, connect wires together, or even repair simple electronic devices. The two hour session will cover:
Basic soldering concepts
How to solder two wires together
Soldering DC-power connectors to wires
Through-hole and surface-mount soldering
De-soldering components from boards
Fixing damaged or incorrect traces on a PCB
Soldering irons and all necessary tools will be provided, along with components to practice on, however, as this is held in a workshop, it is a requirement to wear fully-enclosed shoes
Tickets can be purchased up to the start of the event, on a first-come-first-serve basis.

About the workshop host:
Vincent Dalstra is electronics technician with 4 years experience in electronics, circuit-board design, digital audio systems, networking and related fields. He is also a co-host of Arduino U, a fortnightly event for Arduino enthusiasts at the Perth Artifactory.
