An introduction to DIY analogue electronics

Mon, 13 Feb 2023
17:00 - 21:00

A series of sessions aimed at the DIY Analogue Electronics Enthusiast or perhaps even those who wish to expand their knowledge and skills in a professional environment. The initial half-day sessions will be aimed at those who do not have a lot of direct experience with Electrical / Electronic theory though there will be some relevant practical demonstrations of the theory covered. Participants will be encouraged to discuss and develop their specific projects singly or as groups and will be able to make full use of the well-equipped workshop facilities provided.

Later full-day sessions will be aimed at those with wider experience including those who have completed the above and will delve deeper into both theory and practice. These future sessions will be $100/day.

Because the direction and depth of the areas to be covered will be primarily participant driven places are limited to around 8 people and must be booked in advance. Due to the time commitment of the host refunds for cancellations can only be processed at least 24 hours before the event.

What to bring:

  • A note pad and pens
  • A (scientific) calculator
  • Any (small) examples of projects that you may be working on.
  • Please wear enclosed shoes, the Artifactory is a workshop environment.

About the workshop host:

Graham Bowman is a qualified Technical Instructor with 50 years’ experience in Electronics, Audio and Video Systems, RF Systems, Telecoms, Power Systems and related fields. Now retired he spends much of his time designing, building, modifying and (sometimes) repairing a wide range of electronics equipment.

While hosted at the Artifactory this workshop is operated by Graham directly.
